One Proud Mommy

I am a Stay At Home Mother of three beautiful girls. I have a lifetime to work but my girls are only young once! I struggled a lot and I mean A LOT, with deciding to be a stay at home mom. Before I had my girls I worked three jobs. I was def. a workaholic!! I woke up went to work till I had to be at my next job and worked until bed. So, how do you take someone who was working that much and tell them to stay at home all the time? I did go back to work for about half a year because I myself struggled to find the answer to this question. How could I be successful if I stayed at home all day? I went back and fourth fighting with myself for days, weeks, and months. Every day at work I missed my girls like crazy and questioned why I was paying someone else to get to play with my girls when I wanted to be. Finally, after talking to many people, it was my dad who finally made me realize what I needed to realize from the start. Being a stay at home mom is a job. Stay at home moms are just as successful as a mom recieving a paycheck! He also reminded me and my husband that it was his job to remind me of this. It is important for a SAHM's husband to remind her how much she is needed to keep the house running smoothly. So, I left my job and went back to being the SAHM I love being. Now, I am not saying being a SAHM is perfect or easy, because it is not! There are days I break down and cry but there are a lot more days that I smile, I laugh, I enjoy and appreciate my life. So, lets meet these precious bundles of joy!

I thought I was not able to have children because I have an underactive thyroid which goes hand and hand with PCOS. After two years, I was completely surprised with a missed period followed by a postitive pregnancy test!!! I was beyond joy! I went completely over board and of course had to buy everyyy little outfit they make. She came in to this work 3 weeks early, but perfectly healthy! Her Pap Pap swore she was coming on his birthday and I kept telling him no way it was three weeks before her due date. Well, at 10PM on Pap Paps birthday as we sat around the fire, my water broke, out of no where! Of course, two hours is not enough time for her to make her appearance, but she began her journey in to this world on his birthday. She is the first grandbaby for my side of the family. She has soooo much personality! She likes to do everything on her own! She even started to potty train herself! She absolutely loves pretending she is a little mommy herself. She takes care of her baby dolls all day long. But, she never forgets to help take care of......

We obviously picked the right name for this little girl. Gabriella was so quiet when she was first born but now the only time you do not hear her, from rooms away, is when she is sleeping! She is soooo loud and full of energy! She came five weeks early. Once again, my water broke very early. Although, she was 5 weeks and 3 days early, being the earliest baby that the hospital delivered, she was totally healthy! The only problem she had was maintaining her body temp. but we kept her wrapped up nice and cozy and she was perfectly fine. She got to come home the same day as I did, after passing a few mandatory preemie baby test. Now, you would never know she was early. She not only caught up to her peers but has even passed many by. She has gained so much weight going from the 7th percentile to over the 50th percentile! She is one year old and beginning to walk. So, even though doctors, nurses, and friends advised us she would develop 6 weeks behind her peers, they were wrong. Yes, having a second baby a month after my first has been a handful BUT it has been much easier since I have had the help of....

Hey, I said I was going to be honest. So in all honesty, she drives me completely crazy most the time, like lots of young step children that tend to push every button they can to test a step parent. But, at the same time, I couldnt imagine my life without her! She is beautiful, bright, and super sweet! She runs to the chance to help her little sisters. She always plays well with them and never leaves them out. She helps change diapers and feed her little sisters. She is the best big sister ever!

And just for lots of laughs.....
